No post from me today. I'm participating in Screen-Free Week!
Go outside and play. Draw a picture. Read a book. (Okay, I admit I'll still be checking my email and writing, but I'm saying no to blogging, facebook, Twitter, and TV. Ulp!)
I'll be back next week with a new middle grade recommendation. Have you joined Deb Marshall's May reading challenge yet?
Yay for you! I wasn't aware of screen-free week, but it sounds great.
ReplyDeleteHeh I wasn't aware of this but I'm going outside today anyways.
ReplyDeleteSee you next time when you post something new. :)

Love this - even authors need to dust off and look around :) Best way to find some inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHave fun! I'll join you! :D
ReplyDeleteHmmm, since I'm reading blogs, I'm definitely not partaking of screen-free week. Though it's not a bad idea... Let us know how it goes for you, Joanne.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of this either, but it's a great idea. I find it amazing and appalling how addicted I feel sometimes. I did have a mostly screen free weekend. Does that count? :)
ReplyDeleteCindy
Sure it does, Cindy! (I'm answering this weeks later, because of course I wasn't online that week!)
DeletePosting this and then GOING OUTSIDE. I need to step away from the screens more often! And, yes, doing the May challenge. Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fascinating concept! I struggle to avoid my electronic gadgets for even an hour or two, and if my phone signals an email at night, I will probably wake up and read it! Obsessed much... yes! I participate in the A-Z Challenge during the month of April, if this started just a few days later I would be very tempted to try it. I know that much doesn't get done in my life because I am always in front of a screen... or two... or three! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou should try it sometime, Josie. Don't worry about the official one; make your own screen-free week. It's probably best while you're on vacation!
