AKOSS
Congratulations, Akoss! Look for an email from me, asking for your mailing address. Albert Whitman will be mailing your copy directly to you.
Last weekend, I attended the NJ SCBWI conference and I'll be posting my impressions of that next week, but I'm still catching up (and revising like mad), so for now, go visit last week's book blogger panel at Random Acts of Reading. We talked about what new books we're anticipating the most!
What books are you looking forward to?
Congrats to Akoss! And awesome you went to the conference. Hope you got a lot out of it.
ReplyDeleteI learned a lot, Natalie, and met a lot of great writers. It was exhausting but fun.
DeleteLooking forward to reading your impressions of the conference.
ReplyDeleteThat's great, Stina! I may have to break it up into two parts. :)
DeleteSOMEDAY I'm going to make it to a conference!
ReplyDeleteThe book I'm looking forward to most is actually an indie -- The conclusion to a steampunk fantasy series by Lindsay Buroker, due out in August.
Haven't heard of that series, Dianne. And I hope you do get to a conference someday. Although you could be on the faculty!
DeleteI just missed this. Rats. I'm uber excited about The Time Fetch.
ReplyDeleteSo am I, Brooke! (And where have you been? Hope all is well.)
DeleteThere is a MG: Magic Marks the spot by Caroline Carlson
ReplyDeleteand an adult book: VISCIOUS by V.E. Schwab that I hope to be able to read this year.
One is because it sounds so good. The other is because I love the author's writing enough to be interested in her adult debut.
~Akoss
Haven't heard of either of those, Akoss. But they sound cool. Any MG with magic in the title is bound to be fun.
DeleteI just read The False Prince and The Runaway King by Jennifer Nielsen. So I'm anxiously awaiting book number three: The Shadow Throne!
ReplyDeleteMe too, Cindy, er, Flash!
DeleteCongrats Akoss! :D I am reading "The Complete Sherlock Holmes" and I just finished Flip and The Necromancer (book 4 of The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel)
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm impressed, Erik. The Complete Sherlock Holmes. I'm sure I've never read that, just a few of his books.
DeleteHi Joanne! Looking forward to hearing about the conference.
ReplyDeleteI really look forward to whenever I get a moment to read... I have a pile waiting for me... "Breadcrumbs" and "When the Butterflies Came" and "May B" and "The London Eye Mystery" and so on and so on... Just finished "Geenie Wishes" and "Better than Weird."
Hi Julie! I've missed you! I'm sure you're busy with those kids, so any reading moments are treasured. That's a great TBR list. I haven't read either of those you just finished.
