  2. Eek - the answer is, YES! I bought 'Boy + Bot' and 'Zombie in Love' and 'The Lorax' all last year. If I end up having kids one day, I guess I'll share them :)

    1. Oh, I love Boy + Bot! There's another one I need to buy. And I actually enjoyed Zombie in Love, but never would have thought of purchasing it. If you have kids one day, they'll have to share your sense of humor!

    1. Ahaha, Don! That's wonderful. I used to love comic books, especially Superman or Archie.

  5. I would have to say no, only because I never thought about it. But now that I have a toddler? You bet I'm going to. ;)

  6. I collect picture books. (That's just a way to justify the fact that yes, I buy them. For myself. All the time!) I love them. It might have started when my kids read Paul Zelinsky's Wheels On the Bus pop-up book so much they trashed all the moving parts, so I bought another one and wouldn't let the kids near it!

I indulge myself every Christmas. Sometimes I go into the bookstore with a few ideas from blogs, but it's most fun just to browse, let my eye be caught by the artwork, then read and see how funny or clever or sweet or subversive they are.

    1. Hi Kim! I've purchased pop-up books just for myself too. They're so delicate, they're really not made to stand up to constant play.

Collecting picture books is fun, as long as you have the space for your growing collection!
