Remember my interview with Nicole Valentine? I had a great time at Nicole's book launch at Children's Book World in Haverford, PA last week. It was well-attended, Nicole's speech was inspiring, and Nicole is now off on a book tour around the Northeastern USA. Way to go, Nicole! The only thing I didn't do was get a photo of us together. Next time!

I enjoyed this book so much, especially the characters. A challenging plot to keep track of but it is perfect for upper MG and those kids who read everything.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely Upper MG, Greg. Should be an accepted category by now! I'm having fun re-reading this. The first-person parts are new to me (since I was lucky enough to be one of the early readers of this manuscript).
DeleteThank you for sharing the event! It was packed and that's awesome! I can't wait to read this book. Thank you for sharing a copy with one of your followers.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Danielle! There was a lot of energy in that room. I pre-ordered two copies way back in March, knowing I'd want to give one away.
DeleteThis sounds great but I have too many books to read right now. I'll let someone else who can read it soon win.
ReplyDeleteI hear you, Natalie! Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteI'd love to win this; I've been interested in the story ever since I found out there was a character named Faith (even though she died...oh well...). ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Faith! It's been a while. Remember that things aren't always what they seem...
DeleteChildren's Book World really goes all out with its book launches. There has been so much buzz about this book. It sounds like a compelling read.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was a fantastic event. Glad you're hearing buzz about this book.
DeleteIt looks like a fun event. I will step aside for the drawing. I'm buried in books right now. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rosi. I understand.
